Russian communications agency names YouTube 'a leader in spreading fakes'
The YouTube video service has become a leader among foreign platforms in distributing fake news in 2020, Russian communications agency Roskomnadzor said in a statement.
It noted that 60% of false news was in one way or another related to the topic of the coronavirus pandemic, RIA Novosti reports.
Most of the fake news from foreign platforms was disseminated by the YouTube video service, the agency stressed.
NEWS.ru reported earlier that Russia called on the YouTube administration to stop conducting moderation based on political motives.
