Russians have revealed what kinds of sports they prefer to do during their holidays,
Most often, citizens try snowboarding (40 percent) or downhill skiing (38 percent), followed by mountaineering (21 percent), including rock climbing and trekking in the mountains. Besides, 34 percent of Russian citizens reported that they tried paragliding, and 25 percent - parachuting.
Water sports turned out to be less popular. So, 32 percent of the respondents were engaged in diving, 28 percent learned to surf, 25 percent took part in river rafting. Another 17 percent went for kite surfing or windsurfing, 15 percent tried wake surfing, rafting, and stand up paddleboarding.
This is while 32 percent of Russian tourists admitted to loving extreme or unusual sports. At the same time, women are more likely than men to try something new on vacation, 68 percent said they prefer not to take risks.
Some 43 percent of Russian citizens do sports while traveling. From time to time, 40 percent of respondents do exercises, and 17 percent only rest during their holidays.
