The most accurate method for recognizing cancer is radioactive particle usage, which reveals tumors' development better than any other way, said Ramiz Aliyev, a leading researcher at the Chemistry Faculty of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The scientist noted that nuclear medicine envisages introducing a drug containing a radioactive isotope into the human body. The necessary information can be obtained this way, reported.

Thanks to this, we can understand what is happening in the human body, Aliyev noted.

He added that diagnosing cancer with radioactive isotopes is one of the most effective and modern methods. If there is a malignant tumor in the human body, then radioactive substances accumulate there. That is why the method of radionuclide diagnostics shows both the presence and location of a tumor in the body.

Experts from Australia have uncovered a previously unknown mechanism that allows to find out how cancer cells manage to repair their DNA and become invincible to standard treatment, reported earlier.
