There is no need to introduce lockdown and restrict movement among Russian regions, but the governors can set restrictions depending on the situation with the coronavirus on the ground, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, RIA Novosti reports.

The current level of organization of the process of counteraction and the provision of people with medical services is sufficient to avoid introducing any lockdowns, be it a shutdown in communication among regions or a shutdown of the economy, Peskov noted.

NEWS.ru earlier reported that the Russian Ministry of Health believes that in connection with the epidemiological situation in the country, it is necessary to impose restrictions on the movement of citizens between regions.
