The Chinese authorities have introduced mandatory testing of imported frozen foods for COVID-19.

Without a report on this procedure, the goods won’t be allowed for sale.

It is necessary to strengthen regular supervision and response to emergencies, take responsibility for preventing risks, and controlling the entire process of importing cold chain food products, says the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.

Also, products must have a quarantine certificate, a document on the passage of disinfection, a report on the nucleic acid test, and a paper on goods’ movement.

NEWS.ru earlier reported that health officials in China’s Shandong province found traces of COVID-19 on food packages from three Russian and one Dutch refrigerated vessel.
