Deputy spokesman Bilal Karimi said that the terrorist act targeted civilians in the street.
Two explosions were recorded in the hospital situated in the 10th district of Kabul. Witnesses to the scene added that the blasts were followed by gunfire sounds.
No casualties have been reported for the moment.
Nobody has claimed reponsibility yet but it is expected that the attack was organized by IS-K*, the Afghan branch of ISIL. The group has earlier killed more than 30 people in a powerful explosion in a Shiite mosque in Afghan city of Kunduz and claimed reponsibility for the deadly blast which hit the airport of Kabul during the international evacuation and took the lives of around 200 Afghan residents and 13 American soldiers.
Presumed footage of the incident has been uploaded to the net.
