Women in the capital of Afghanistan Kabul are continuing their protest demanding the Taliban* to respect their rights for education and work.

However, the protests soon turned violent as the Islamist group used tear gas in an attempt to disperse the gathered protestors.

Women in Kabul are often stopped at the street by Taliban members for leaving their home without a mature male relative.

Despite the Taliban’s claims that women’s rights will be respected, the situation is worsening with every single day forcing women to protest.

Earlier, a female lecturer from Kabul shared with NEWS.ru her thoughts about the upcoming changes in her life after the Taliban took over in Afghanistan.
