The US dollar rate at the opening of trading on the Moscow Exchange lost 0.19 percent and reached 73.21 rubles.
The euro rate grew 0.12 percent - to 89.49 rubles. Later, the US dollar continued to decline and stood at 73.045 rubles (-0.41 percent), the euro exchange rate decreased by 0.04 percent, to 89.35 rubles.
The Russian stock market opened with an increase in stock indices. The Moscow Exchange index rose 0.24 percent to 3,277.67 points, while the RTS index grew 0.55 percent to 1,407.69 points.
By 10:15 Moscow time, the Moscow Exchange index reached 3,285.38 points (+0.47 percent), the RTS index – 1,417.02 points (+1.21 percent).
The price of the February futures for Brent crude oil on the ICE exchange in London rose by 1.25 percent to $51.72 per barrel. The price of WTI crude oil grew by 1.37 percent and reached $48.66 per barrel.
