The film made approximately $218 mln during the weekend, including $80 mln at the domestic box office.


The latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) starring Scarlett Johansson, rescheduled because of the global pandemic in 2020, earned $218 mln on the opening weekend, the largest sum since the start of the Covid pandemic.

Internationally the movie earned $78 mln and another $60 mln were got via Disney+ streaming platform. $80 mln were made in the domestic market.

Earlier this Friday the Walt Disney Company announced that Black Widow had set another record gaining $13.2 mln on its Thursday night release.

The results are expected to be more brilliant since the film hasn’t been released in China. The date for the premiere has not been set yet.

The US box office competition this week also had another 2 movies by Universal: Fast and Furious 9 (gained $10.9 mln) and The Boss Baby: Family Business ($8.7 mln).
