Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that the Polish-Belarusian migrant crisis is on the brink of humanitarian catastrophe.

“We are obviously witnessing an impending humanitarian catastrophe. We are talking about the life and health of several thousand people who are refugees and openly declare that they want to move further to the EU space, they do not even want to stay in Poland,” Peskov claimed.

Additionally, Russian President Vladimir Putin in a phone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel proposed to establish a discussion between Belarus, Poland, Lithuania and EU countries over the migrant crisis.

“Everybody knows about our good relations with Belarus. Russia is ready to provide all the necessary assistance to Belarus” Peskov added.

Meanwhile Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller said that Warsaw is considering the possibility of completely closing the border, ending trade and any exchange with Belarus over the border crisis.

The Polish authority has already suspended the traffic through the Kuzhnitsy checkpoint on the border with Belarus on November 9.

Earlier on Wednesday, two numerous groups of migrants made their way from the territory of Belarus to Poland, Polish media reported. The border guards announced that all the migrants were found and returned to the border line.

The Belarus officials blamed Polish border guards for using force against migrants who were returned into the territory of Belarus.

However, the Polish media also has shared the video that shows the Belarus guards beating the people at the border.
