The famous actor Tom Hanks was offered a flight on Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin space tourism company.

The actor however refused due to the high cost of the trip.

During his visit to the talk show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel Hanks noted that the proposal was under the condition that Hanks paid for the flight which led him to refuse the offer.

"Well yeah, provided I pay. It costs like $28 million or something like that. And I'm doing good, Jimmy — I'm doing good — but I ain't paying $28 million. You know what, we could simulate the experience of going to space right now," Hanks said.

Adding that everyone can imitate the flight during their trip back home by leaning back into their car chairs and shaking as if they are on a rocket.

"It's about a 12-minute flight, is that about it? We could all do it in our seats right here," he said.

Despite his comments concerning the high price, Hanks is one of the celebrities who have reportedly already reserved a flight on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic which is one of the three main companies of space tourism along with Blue Origin and SpaceX.
