New court filings state that Jamie Spears is ready to pass conservatorship duties to another agent once the transition is regulated.
Jamie Spears has announced that he was preparing to step down as his daughter’s conservator, the position he has occupied since 2008.
However, this will not happen at once, since in a court filing presented on Thursday Jamie Spears indicated that he agrees to leave the position “when the time is right”. He has said that the “transition needs to be orderly and include a resolution of matters pending before the Court.”

In the end, the father urged the court to deny Britney’s Petition for his suspension and removal from the post and to hold a meeting of all interested parties to discuss the pending matters.
Jamie’s legal team has stated that there was no need for Jamie to resign immediately since it might negatively affect Britney’s condition and mental health. They believe that Britney is manipulated by third parties and Jamie Spears should keep fulfilling his duties.

Jamie’s representatives confirmed that the father would not leave at this time since there were no urgent circumstances for this.
On 14 July Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart filed a petition in which he asked to dismiss Jamie and appoint accountant Jason Rubin as her conservator, presuming that the father has a bad impact on Britney’s mental condition.

His ex-wife and Britney’s mother Lynne Spears has also said that Jamie was not acting in the interest of their daughter, claiming that their relations have transformed into fear and hatred. She added that she was happy about Jamie’s decision to step down.
Jamie denounced Lynne’s comments stating that she did not know the full extension of Britney’s problems and the care he provided to her.
In the court filing, he described that the public did not know all the details about Britney’s personal life and her issues, but if they had known they would have lauded the father for the challenges he accepted and how he dealt with the problems.
