The announcement comes days after the Astroworld Festival disaster which took the lives of eight people and left another 25 injured.

The “Out West” emote representing audio of Travis Scott’s song with the same name has been removed from the Fortnite shop. The game’s Daily section shop has stopped functioning as it is alleged that the rapper’s emote was bound to appear in the latest update.

Fortnite’s account on Twitter has confirmed that the section has been temporarily shut down and promised that it would return soon. However, it did not relate the suspension to Scott or the tragic event.

Epic Games representatives did not provide comments on the situation.

The daily section regularly rotates available skins and other in-game purchases. Apparently, Fortnite’s developer Epic Games planned to reintroduce the emote after Astroworld Festival but dropped the initiative after the crowd got into crush in which eight concertgoers have been killed.

The incident took place last Friday in Houston, Texas, as the concert was attended by around 50,000 people. When Scott appeared on stage along with Drake the mob rushed to the front stage and stomped eight people to death.

The rapper was accused of continuing his performance allegedly aware of the victims. Some of the fans injured in the crowd surge have filed lawsuits against Scott presuming that the casualties could have been avoided adding that the musician could interfere but preferred not to.
