Expensive soap with some special properties doesn’t have to be used to prevent coronavirus infection, Professor of Moscow State University, Doctor of Biological Sciences Alexei Agranovsky said.

The soap doesn’t have to be labeled ‘Antibacterial.’ Moreover, antibacterial soap can cause an unhealthy effect because it will dry the skin or destroy the wrong thing, the virologist explained on air Radio 1.

Agranovsky believes that it is enough to wash hands with baby soap. Liquid soap washes away viruses and bacteria worse than solid soap, the professor noted. However, he added that the water temperature when washing hands doesn’t affect killing the virus. reported earlier that amid an apparent surge in coronavirus incidence in Russia, the country’s plateau is postponed until the middle or even the end of winter, doctors and medical experts say.
