The collapse in the gold mines in Kamchatka left several people under the rubble. According to preliminary data, five miners are trapped in the mine.
Three workers have already managed to get out on their own, while the fate of two more miners is still unknown.
Now six specialists of the paramilitary mine rescue unit are working underground to dismantle the debris. There is no connection with them. Therefore, the fate of the two workers who did not manage to get out in time remains unclear, Gazeta.Ru quotes the acting deputy chairman of the regional government, Alexander Zabolichenko.
He added that representatives of emergency services and a medical helicopter are on duty near the collapse site to provide urgent medical assistance to the victims.
NEWS.ru reported earlier that Norway reported two deaths among people vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
