The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has no involvement whatsoever in the attack on the Israeli oil tanker.

This information contradicts reports transmitted by local pro-governmental media that said that the attack was a response from Iran against Israel’s actions in Syria.

Said al-Khatib the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that Israel’s claims are nothing other than unfounded allegations, and he added that this was not the first time Israel accused Iran based on unsubstantiated assertions.

Another version that was reported by “The Times of Israel” news agency said that the alleged Iranian attack came as a response to Israel’s electronic attack on the Iranian railway system.

Whether an organization or a militia will take responsibility for the drone attack is yet to be known.

Earlier, two crew members, a Briton and a Romanian were killed when an Israeli oil tanker Mercer Street was targeted by a drone airstrike off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea.
