Northern Israel was attacked with rockets from Lebanese territory on Wednesday, the Israeli Defense Forces said in an official account on Twitter.

The Israeli military responded with an artillery strike back to Lebanon.

"Three rockets were just fired from Lebanon toward northern Israel. Two rockets landed in Israel, and one fell inside Lebanon. In response, our artillery forces fired into Lebanon," IDF tweeted.

On July 20, two rockets were fired at northern Israel from Lebanon, setting off alert air raid sirens in the Western Galilee region. The Israeli army conducted a counterstrike by firing artillery shells.

Israel blames the Palestinian group to be responsible for the attacks along with Lebanon since it allows it to operate within its territory.
