Kyiv and Ankara have signed an agreement on the production of combat drones and corvettes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.

The Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Taran signed agreements with Turkish companies on the transfer of technologies, as well as the production of corvettes and combat UAVs for the Ukrainian armed forces, TASS reported.

The document was signed in Ukraine during the visit of a delegation headed by the President of the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) Ismail Demir.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan concluded a framework military agreement. The document was signed by Turkey's National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and the Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Taran. The contract will expand bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the military sector.
