A Russian analyst named Igor Danchenko who has been providing intelligence over the Trump-Russia investigation was arrested following a probe launched by special counsel John Durham, The New York Times reported.


Due to the secrecy of the investigation details concerning the reason for the arrest are not still known.

Danchenko was a source of former British spy Cristopher Steele who analyzed the ties between Trump and Russia during the 2016 elections.

The Justice Department confirmed his arrest but did not provide a statement.

Danchenko’s lawyer also did not issue a statement until the moment.
