The leader of the opposition in Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif called on the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to resign after his secret financial documents were leaked in the Pandora Papers.

At the same time, the Secretary-General of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) political party Ahsan Iqbal joined Sharif and said that the Prime Minister should immediately leave his post.

"After Imran Khan's name surfaced in Pandora leaks, there is no moral justification for him to retain the post of the premier," Iqbal said.

He also attacked the Prime Minister for saying in his campaign that he is a fighter against corruption when in reality the documents show that he himself accepted wealthy gifts of questionable nature.

He also said that the Prime Minister’s unsuccessful policy is the reason for the high inflation in Pakistan.

"Today a person who earns ₹ 25,000 to ₹ 30,000 a month cannot bear the expenses of his household honorably," he said.

Earlier it was reported that nearly 3 terabytes of data allegedly covering secret financial documents of the world’s elite were leaked by worldwide news outlets illustrating the previously unknown wealth, assets, and real estate of leaders and politicians.
