"The Checkmate fighter is outfitted with versatile armaments capable of fighting any threat: from unsheltered command posts to especially sensitive targets for a potential enemy. Su-Checkmate Fighter. Dark Horse of Aviation of the Future," Rostec told the media.

One of its powers is carrying out attacks on targets while staying outside the interception of air defense systems.

Among its other capabilities is striking 6 targets at the same moment as well as carrying out air-to-air and air-to-ground attacks.

The payload capacity of the plane is over 7 tons.

"Importantly, the aircraft is capable of accomplishing any tasks outside the area of the operation of air defense weapons, thus saving the pilot’s life," the company added.

The new plane is based on the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter model.
