A Russian passenger at Moscow Domodedovo airport claimed he carried explosives, allegedly a grenade and after this was immediately taken down by guards.

The incident happened at 11:30 am Moscow time when an allegedly drunk man approached an information desk and claimed he had a grenade and could bring it into action. The airport guards reacted momentarily and forcibly put the culprit on the ground.

The staffers called the police and sappers to defuse explosives if any. While waiting the recumbent was covered with several bulletproof vests and was surrounded by at least three guards. The small area around the criminal and the staffers was cordoned off.

The passengers along with airport staff members were distanced away from the scene in case of safety.

After the sappers came and examined the man for the presence of any harmful devices, the forces reported that nothing was found.

The culprit is the man of 34 allegedly from the city of Saratov, who was thrice sentenced to prison on theft and stealing car charges, according to 112 Telegram channel.

The reason for his action is not yet clear.
