Foreign authorities, which actively promote freedom of speech, regularly infringe on the Russian media's rights and use their media as a tool to achieve their goals, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

We see that in many countries, at least those that are building relations with our country as a potential competitor, even with an adversary, and in doctrinal documents of other countries, they directly register Russia as a geopolitical enemy. They begin to press on our journalists too... Because, despite the promoted freedom of speech, they adhere to another - they comply with the promotion of their information content, in the interests of ensuring their domestic and foreign policy, RIA Novosti quotes the president.

NEWS.ru reported earlier that Russian President's spokesman said the rumors about Russian leader Vladimir Putin's health problems were nonsense.
