Russian police have arrested a man in the city of Kemerovo who stole packs of sunflower seeds and boxes of coffee for a sum of 870.000 Russian rubles (roughly 12.000 US dollars). The investigators started a criminal case regarding his crime, according to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The theft was reported by a director of a warehouse and it didn’t take too long to find out the culprit. It turned out to be a 33-year-old employee of a warehouse.

The investigation revealed that the theft was carried out during lunch break on the day when an employee was on his shift.

The suspect appropriated 365 packs of sunflower seeds and two packs of coffee and some of the stolen goods were sold. The product that was left unsold was retrieved back to the owner.

The thief will face a sentence that will send him to prison for up to six years. However, he won’t be a novice behind bars as he had such an experience before.
