The accident occurred on the Bugatti Circuit, a part of the major track.

An amateur motorcycle driver from Paris aged 36 died this Wednesday evening on the Bugatti circuit du Mans in a moto accident with two other drivers, who were only injured, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) has reported.

“The drivers immediately received aid on the spot from the track’s medical crew, before the Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Service has arrived,” ACO said in a statement.

One of the drivers was then transferred to the track’s medical center, where he received continuous treatment, but all in vain. The other motorists were slightly injured, there is no threat to their health, they added in a communiqué.

The race was organized by the Box 23 club. The driving event was canceled after the accident and a unit providing psychological aid was deployed to the scene.

The police have opened an investigation to establish the tragedy’s details.

In July last year, a pilot died on the same track after feeling sick.

Bugatti Circuit is situated within Circuit des 24 Heures. The famous motorcycle race 24 Hours of Le Mans take place annually on the track each year, while the sports car race with the same name is held on the larger circuit.
