Fabio Quartararo is new MotoGP World Champion

The 22-year-old racer has become the first French champion in the history of MotoGP.


Fabio Quartararo has secured the first rank at the MotoGP 2021 season. The new world champion came the forth at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix on Sunday which guaranteed him the first place this year with two races ahead. Quartararo now has 267 points

The second-rank occupier Francesco Bagnaia, Italy, fell during the Sunday race and lost theoretical chances to compete for the trophy. He has got a total of 202 points for the moment.

Spanish racer Marc Marquez got the first rank this weekend and now occupies the sixth place in the standings.

In the team standings Yamaha also occupies the first rank by a narrow margin ahead of the Italian Ducati (364 vs 355 points).

Fabio Quartararo also known as El Diablo is a member of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team. Last year he secured the eighth position with only 127 points.
