Mike Perry, the former UFC fighter, has signed a contract with another fighting promotion joining the roster at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

The MMA welterweight at once has hit an official deal with the promotion for several fights after he had been competing in the UFC since the beginning of 2016.

MMA Fighting has received official confirmation of the inked contract between BKFC and Perry from the promotion itself. The details of the contract haven’t been revealed. UFC’s boss Dana White told reports at the press conference for the Contender Series that Perry’s contract with the MMA promotion has come to the end and wished the competitor all the best in his next undertaking.

Perry has put a comment on his further venture in a press release: “Let’s skip all the formalities! This sport is evolving and I am here to strike fear into the hearts of my competitors!”

“I plan to intimidate the world when I show what a truly skilled combat specialist is capable of with his bare hands.”

Throughout his career in the UFC, Perry has established himself as a spectacular fighter having in his history a pair of “Performance of the night” bonuses and the same number of “Fight of the night.”

Perry, who is currently holding a 14-8 record in MMA, started his way in the UFC with two wins by knockout. After five fights in the promotion, his record in the UFC has grown up to 4-1, but in the further fights he had been alternating his wins with losses, approaching the final fights with mostly negative results - four loses in five last fights.

Perry is known for his unordinary behaviour as once he was condemned for racist and homophobic slurs. He had repeatedly used the N-word, for which was criticised by the MMA viewers, fans and fellow fighters. He later uploaded a video in social media where he claimed that the DNA test had revealed his 2% African ancestry. However, Perry expressed regrets for using the offensive N-word and pledged ever not to use it.

In October 2020, his ex-girlfriend Danielle Nickerson shared details to MMA Junkie claiming that Perry had often resorted to using a physical force alongside with verbal harassment against her.

In 2016, the fighter was involved in the street brawl after a man allegedly reduced the distance between Perry’s girlfriend and when the unknown man was asked to stay away, the stranger landed a strike into Perry’s face, but the man received response in the face of the left hook thrown by Perry, which send him unconscious onto the ground.

In July 2020, Perry was charged on misdemeanour when looking mad Perry knocked out the elderly man outdoors the restaurant, after a hot altercation. It remains unknown whether Perry was drunk at that moment but he showed a fierce behaviour constantly shouting the banned N-word.
