The announcement comes simultaneously with the news that Barcelona FC will play a tribute game with Argentina’s Boca Juniors in December.

Matias Morla, a former lawyer of one of the famous football players in history Diego Maradona, has testified that the 60-year-old Argentinian died because of horrible med treatment.

“Maradona’s medical treatment was very bad, that is why he died. They had committed many mistakes and inflated the poor until his heart exploded,” Morla told Argentina’s media after a three-hour testimony.

The Buenos Aires prosecutor's office is in charge of the investigation of Maradona’s death from a heart attack in November 2020. The Argentinian died under the observation of his seven doctors now suspected of neglecting Maradona’s condition and involuntary homicide. They also bore testimony.

Morla called the family’s decision to treat the football legend outside of hospital “insane” accusing them of abandoning the 60-year-old football player.

"He had no reason to go to a house when the doctors said he had to stay in a clinic."

The 1986 World Champion died two weeks after undergoing surgery to remove a head hematoma. In his lifetime Maradona suffered from cocaine and alcohol addiction, obesity, neurological deterioration, cardiac failure, underwent surgery after a hernia had provoked internal bleeding in his stomach, and gastric bypass surgery.

On Monday, Spanish Barcelona and Argentina’s Boca Juniors announced that the clubs will play a tribute game in December marking the first anniversary of Maradona’s death.

"FC Barcelona and Club Atletico Boca Juniors will play the 'Maradona Cup' on December 14 to pay tribute to the star Diego Armando Maradona when the first anniversary of his death is remembered,” the Catalonian club said in a statement.

The match will be held in Saudi Arabia at the Mrsool Park. Maradona played for both of these clubs.
