The US gymnast withdrew from the women’s team final of the Summer Olympics.

Simone Biles scored only 13.766 on the vault in the first rotation. All her teammates and rivals from Russia have done better.

It did not seem that Biles had an injury, but BBC journalist John Watson has reported that she returned from the procedure room flexing her ankle. Others report mental troubles.

Biles might now participate in Thursday competitions, where she can become the first woman since 1968 to retain the Olympic all-around title. However, she has informed the media that she was uncertain whether she would participate in the Games.

"After the performance I did I just didn't want to go on. We are going to see about Thursday."

The gold medals were won by ROC (Russian Olympic Committee) ladies Vladislava Urazova, Viktoriia Listunova, and Angelina Melnikova.

Biles won one bronze and four gold medals at the Rio 2016 Olympics which made her the most successful gymnast in US history.

Biles has recently become the first Olympic athlete to have a personalized Twitter emoji. If users make a post adding hashtags #SimoneBiles or #Simone appears a goat performing a split leap and wearing a gold medal. Goat stands for Greatest Of All Time.

Biles is also the first female athlete to have the honor, only NFL players have had their own emojis.
