The results of the first draw had to be annulled due to a technical error.

European top soccer teams have finally learned who will be their rivals in the round of 16 of the Champions League 2021/22 season after the first UEFA draw was canceled because of a software error.

The new pairs will be:

Salzburg (Austria) – Bayern Munich (Germany)

Sporting (Portugal) - Manchester City (England)

Benfica (Portugal) - Ajax (Netherlands)

Chelsea (England) - Lille (France)

Atlético Madrid (Spain) - Manchester United (England)

Villarreal (Spain) - Juventus (Italy)

Inter (Italy) - Liverpool (England)

PSG (France) - Real Madrid (Spain)

The first games will be played on 15-16 or 22-23 February while the second leg is scheduled for 8-9 or 15-16 March.

At the same ceremony the lineups for the Europa League, the second-important UEFA tournament, have been partially decided. In the playoffs round, the clubs which took the third rank in their Champions League groups (on the left) will respectively meet the teams who occupied the second place in their Europa league groups (on the right):

Sevilla FC (Spain) vs Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia)

Atalanta (Italy) vs Olympiakos (Greece)

RB Leipzig (Germany) vs Real Sociedad (Spain)

Barcelona (Spain) vs Napoli (Italy)

FC Zenit (Russia) vs Real Betis (Spain)

Borussia Dortmund (Germany) vs Rangers (Scotland)

FC Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova) vs Sporting Braga (Portugal)

Porto (Portugal) vs Lazio (Italy)

The games will be played on February 17 and 24. The draw for the round of 16 will be held on 25 February, when Olympique Lyon, AS Monaco, Spartak Moscow, Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Red Star Belgrade, Bayer Leverkusen, and West Ham United, who respectively won their groups, will get their playoffs winners.
