The musician has become the first artist to have a Top 10 single in six consequent decades.

Sir Elton John has reached the top of the Official Singles Chart for the first time in 16 years. His last Rank One dates back to 2005 when the musician appeared on US rapper 2Pac's posthumous single Ghetto Gospel produced by Eminem.

His collaboration with Dua Lipa called “Cold Heart” reached the top on Friday after three weeks of occupying Rank Two. Their single displaced Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers” and “Bad habits” therefore ending his 15-week run. The 30-year-old singer even urged his followers to buy the Cold Heart single so that the "Rocket man" singer could make it to the top.

For Elton John, it’s the eighth climb to No-1 and the third for Dua Lipa. The two musicians have earlier revealed that they will record a Christmas song to be released at the end of the year.

The 74-year-old artist has recently undergone hip surgery. He has announced that his 2021 UK and European tour will be rescheduled for 2023.
