A group of five men has been put into custody in Liverpool on suspicion of murder after a 30-year-old man was sent to hospital in a critical condition caused by a stabbing on Friday, October 29.

Merseyside Police reported that a victim of the knife attack died in hospital after he was discovered severely wounded in Beechwood Avenue, Halewood, at around 18:40 local time.

The police consider the offense to be a “targeted attack.” The ages of the attackers vary between 22 and 62, all of them are currently in custody.

The family of the victim is being supported by specialized specialists.

The police conducted house-to-house inquiries to figure out the details of what had happened during the bloody evening and to question witnesses if they were.

“We think that the offenders made off in a vehicle so if you saw or captured any vehicles driving off at speed in the area let us know,” Detective Chief Inspector Sue Hinds appealed to potential witnesses.

“We are still looking to speak to anyone with information to assist. We believe that this was a targeted attack, the reasons behind which we are keeping an open mind.,” Hinds added.

Earlier, on Wednesday, British police arrested five other men, who allegedly stabbed four individuals in Norwich.
