A woman aged 27 was arrested over child neglect after two sets of twins tragically died in a fire.

All of the children were a part of one family.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

When the firefighter brigade arrived at the scene the fire was already well developed

The twins were carried out from the blazing home and delivered to the nearest hospital.

However their young bodies were not able to handle the pressure and they soon died.

"On arrival there were four children in the house. It's a very traumatic event. They (firefighters) attended a very well-developed fire (and) got there in under three minutes. Second two machines within seven minutes,” London Fire Brigade's (LFB) deputy commissioner, Richard Mills, told reporters.

It is doubtful that the arrested women started the fire, however the launched probe will help determine how the events that led to the tragedy unfolded.
