Jackson Sparks is the first non-adult victim of the incident which also left dozens injured.


Jackson Sparks, 8, has died from the injuries he got in a Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy when an SUV driven by Darell Brooks ploughed through the crowd.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by Jackson’s family. Apart from the 8-year-old boy, his brother Tucker, 12, was also injured in the incident and got a fracture in his skull. He has been discharged from hospital and keeps recovering at home.

Both boys have been taken to the ICU after the attack but unfortunately Jackson passed away in the afternoon.

The family has also thanked the supporters at the same time calling on them to respect their privacy.

The main suspect, 39-year-old Darrell Brooks, was arrested minutes after the massacre. According to Wisconsin prosecutors, he is charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

At least 48 other people including children aged 3-16 have been injured and hospitalized.
