The total number of people who died following the stompede at Travis Scott’s Astroworld concert has reached nine as a woman died at the hospital due to received injuries.

The deceased is 22-year-old Bharti Shahani who was a senior at Texas A&M University.

After the concert Shahani had no brain activity and was on life support as she suffered from several heart attacks after the tragedy.

She went to the concert with her sister and cousin who survived the incident.

The three of them were separated during the concert when the stompede started.

“Once one person fell, people started toppling like dominos. It was like a sinkhole. People were falling on top of each other,” Shahani’s cousin Mohit Bellani said.

“There were like layers of bodies on the ground, like two people thick. We were fighting to come up to the top and breathe to stay alive,” he added.

There are still two others who are in a critical condition, among them is a 9-year-old boy who was left in an induced coma on life support as he suffered tough liver, kidney, and brain damage after the deadly crush. When the crowd surge started, his father took the son on his shoulders but did not manage to deal with the pressure and lost consciousness.

Earlier, one of the world’s most popular video games Fortnite deleted the cosmetic of Travis Scott from its store.
