The President of the US Joe Biden has got his first physical just a day before he turns 79-year-old.

The President has spent around five hours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.

After the exam he was walked out and raised his hands showing thumbs up signs.

"I'm doing great!"I've had a great physical and a great House of Representatives vote. Good day," Biden told ABC News.

The White House has earlier announced that during Biden’s medical procedures the presidential power will shift to Vice-President Kamala Harris.

Biden’s age and his health has been a discussed topic ever since he decided to run for presidency, however at the start of the elections back in 2020 he asked his supporters to trust his capabilities.

"The only thing I can say is watch. Watch! Check my energy level, determine whether I know what I'm talking about," he said in a statement.

Biden’s personal doctor Kevin O’Connor has been working with the President since 2009 and he says that Biden’s health symptoms are getting worse.

"The president has exhibited increasing frequency and severity of "throat clearing" and coughing during speaking engagements. He has exhibited such symptoms for as long as I have known him, but they certainly seem more frequent and more pronounced over the last few months," he said.
