Disney World puts its employee COVID-19 vaccination policy on halt

Disney World in Florida has temporarily stopped its vaccination mandate for employees.

At the same time Biden and his administration are enforcing the workplace COVID-19 rule which requires the staff of businesses that have at least 100 employees to be either vaccinated or pass weekly tests in addition to wearing masks at the workplace.

“We believe that our approach to mandatory vaccines has been the right one as we have continued to focus on the safety and well-being of our Cast Members and Guests,” a spokesperson for Disney told Reuters.

Last month officials from Disney met with White House officials to discuss Biden’s workplace mandate and how it could worsen the situation at the labour market and the supply chain crisis.

Vaccine mandates are being viewed as controversial in the US and around the globe as many see them as an enforced tyranny while others consider vaccination the only way to stop the pandemic.

Earlier, it was reported that anti-COVID measures protests are erupting again in Austria, Ireland, Croatia and the Netherlands.
