Netizens share their reaction to the video in which US Vice President speaks to Institut Pasteur researchers as kids.


Video of US Vice President Kamala Harris delivering a speech to French and American scientists in the Pasteur Institute in Paris went viral for what many netizens described as “French accent” and “addressing toddlers”.

The American official who earlier arrived in France for her first working visit at the VP position has been filmed speaking with the institute’s researchers on US-France COVID cooperation in a bizarre manner.

“We campaign with The Plan! Uppercase T, uppercase P, The Plan!” Harris said adding an arm gesture showing the scale of The Plan mentioned.

The scene was dubbed “cringe” in many posts, while others addressing to the word to Harris herself.

Someone has recalled NASA’s video in which Harris was filmed talking to interested kids who turned out to be actors. It was released on the occasion of World Space Week and received over 35,000 dislikes compared with 2,8 likes on YouTube.

The meeting at the Institut Pasteur is symbolic to the veep as her mother Shyamala Gopalan conducted there research on breast cancer in the 1980s.

Apart from the Institute visit, Harris also has on her agenda a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and taking part in ceremonies at the occasion of Armistice Day and Veterans Day.
