Pfizer and BioNTech have found a way to cut delays in COVID-19 vaccine shipments to Europe, the companies said in a statement.

Pfizer and BioNTech have developed a plan to expand production capacity in Europe. We will deliver much more doses in the second quarter, Interfax reports, citing the message.

As specified, the companies will be able to return to the original supply plan from January 25. At the same time, the volumes will increase from February 15.

Supply volumes will be cut next week due to the modernization of production facilities at the Pfizer plant in Belgium. It will increase vaccine production in the long term.
