Jacob Chensley, "QAnon Shaman", was sentenced to 41 months in prison on Thursday. He is famous for breaking into the Capitol without outer clothing and wearing a fur hat with horns on January 6 to speak out in support of Trump.

Chansley was arrested in Arizona in January this year shortly after the attack on the Capitol.

Footage of Chansley at the Capitol went viral because of his brutal appearance as he led other protestors through the building. He also managed to reach the Senate dais and left there a note: "It's Only A Matter Of Time. Justice Is Coming!"

The justice said that Shaman-Qanon also carried a two-meter flag with a point on a speared flagpole. He entered the halls and corridors of the Capitol, despite the sounds of sirens, and continued to cheer the protesters, expressing ideas for "getting rid of the government."

During the trial, Chansley expressed regret for what he had done. He argued that he drew conclusions during his imprisonment and would not break the law in the future.

"The hardest part about this is to know that I'm to blame. To have to look in the mirror and know, you really messed up. Royally," Chansley said.

Judge Lambert called Chansley's speech one of the most memorable of his career. However, he also characterized Chansley's actions as a serious crime which were aimed at undermining the work of the entire government.

“QAnon Shaman” also has to pay $2,000 for damage done to the Capitol building and he will serve three years of supervised release at the end of his prison term.

The Capitol attack occurred on 6 January as a crowd of angry protesters didn’t support the US Senate and House of Representatives certification of Joe Biden's victory in the presidential election.

A total of five people died and over 100 policemen were wounded as a result of the Capitol coup.
