The body of a 22-year-old woman has been found by the authorities in Wyoming and for now, it is believed that this is the body of Gabby Petito which has gone missing while on a road trip with her boyfriend.
The FBI said that the body is her’s, however, first, some tests must be made to confirm the remains’ identity.
“Full forensic identification has not been completed to confirm 100% that we found Gabby, but her family has been notified. This is an incredibly difficult time for family and friends,” FBI Supervisory Special Agent Charles Jones said in a statement.
Officers refused to answer questions after they announced that they found the body and thus it is unknown where and how the body was found.
Gabby’s boyfriend Brian Laundrie who is 23-years-old was last seen by his family on Thursday and is currently a person of interest to the police.
The couple’s journey began in July but on the 1st of September, Brian was seen by the police returning to his parents alone.
The Petito family filed a missing person report on Sept. 11 and since then is demanding the Laundrie family to tell them where their son last saw Gabby.
For a while now Brian has also been missing however the Petito family claims that he is hiding.
The search for more evidence at the scene where the body was found as well as for the missing boyfriend is still ongoing.
