The US Capitol Police is engaged in an ongoing investigation of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the Supreme Court.

The Capitol Police asked nearby citizens to stay away from the area near the Supreme Court: “We are investigating a suspicious vehicle in front of the Supreme Court along First Street, NE. Please stay away from the area. We will provide more information as soon as we can.”

The police tried to talk with the driver of the vehicle.

Capitol police have been on high alert ever since the Justice for J6 pro-Trump rally.

Later reports emerged that a blast was heard in the area.

The police called it a “controlled explosion.”

Later the Capitol Police informed that the man who was identified as Dale Paul Melvin was captured and put into custody.

“The suspect has been identified as Dale Paul Melvin (DOB: 9/4/66) of Kimball, MI.” the last statement published by the police read.
