Following the tragedy that occurred at Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival he issued a statement where he promised to aid the families of the eight victims who died during the singer’s performance.

The rapper also added that he could never have imagined “anything like this happening".

"I just wanna send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night. "We're actually working now to identify the families so we can help assist them through this tough time," he said.

Kylie Jenner with whom Scott has recently gone back together has also spoken on the matter.

"Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in any way by yesterday's events,” she said.

Following the tragedy Travis was attacked on Twitter and TikTok with users saying he was aware of what was happening but refused to stop the concert forcing the victims to die listening to his singing.

Kylie and Scott denounced those claims.

"I want to make it clear we weren't aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing,” she added.

Along with the deaths, a crime took place at the concert as a security officer went unconscious after being injected with an unknown substance in the neck.

The police have already launched an investigation into the matter.

Among those who were killed are two minors.
