The US government plans to approve 3-4 COVID vaccines by February 2021, Director of the US Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Robert Redfield said during a video conference.

It is very likely that by February, three or four vaccines will be approved in the US, Redfield said, TASS reports.

The UK certified the COVID vaccine on December 2. The product was approved for use by Pfizer and BioNTech. The vaccine will become available in the country within the next week. Mass vaccinations are expected to begin in the spring of 2021.

NEWS.ru reported earlier that BioNTech and Pfizer applied for registration of coronavirus vaccine in the European Union.
