American well-known motorhead and the host of "Leno's Garage" show Jay Leno shared footage of him gripping the nose of an airplane in mid-flight, TMZ wrote.

Leno with his friends took a small plane flying off the coast of Catalina Island, and "decided to give them a little surprise," the outlet said.

Eventually, he knew the nose of the aircraft opened up from the inside so he fit inside in a stuntman pose. After opening the nose hatch, Jay appeared hanging off the front of the plane and raising his thumbs up, later trying to climb toward the windshield. And it wasn't risky for the pilots.

The former "Tonight Show" host, comedian, and writer, Leno, 71, is also a famous auto collector, his stash of 199 cars and 168 motorcycles includes machines run by steam and by electric motors, but he has a special affection for vehicles powered by aircraft engines.
