Music singer Zayn Malik claims he is not guilty of the charges which were presented against him by his girlfriend’s Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda Hadid.

The relationship between Zayn and Yolanda is currently at its lowest point as the 28-year-old singer was charged with four cases of harassment in September.

According to the lawsuit document Malik is accused of abusing Yolanda, Gigi and their bodyguard with "lewd, lascivious, threatening or obscene words."

Yolanda insists that he not only addressed her negatively but also harmed her physically as she states that he "grabbed and shoved her into a dresser causing mental anguish and physical pain."

In his mail-in plea he wrote Nolo meaning Nolo Contendere which is a Latin term referred to as a plea of no contest however a court employee wrote them down as guilty pleas due to the seriousness of the offences.

Malik agreed on a 90 days probation for each count which equals a total for 360 days.

He will attend an anger management specialist and stay away from Gigi, Yolanda and their bodyguard.

In his Twitter Malik said that he is a private person and that he is assured that the situation "was and still should be a private matter."

"As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren't thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart," he said.

He argued that he attempted to solve the matter peacefully in a family manner and that he feels regret that everything was leaked to the media.

Malik and Gigi share a daughter named Khai.

Both Yolanda and Gigi did not speak publicly on the issue yet as Gigi’s representative said that "Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai, She asks for privacy during this time."
