The EU hopes that a vaccine against the novel coronavirus will be registered in December.

The latest data on its development are giving positive results, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel at a briefing following the EU summit.

After registration, vaccination will begin, Merkel added. The European Commission has already asked all countries in the union to submit vaccination plans, as the latest data on developing a vaccine ‘sound encouraging.’

We look forward to the possibility of vaccine registration in Europe in December or shortly after the New Year, AFP reports referring to Merkel.

NEWS.ru reported earlier that the COVID vaccine of Pfizer and BioNTech proves 95% effective.
