German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that Berlin was not yet considering new sanctions against Moscow over the details of the investigation on the incident with the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny published in German media.
The minister stressed that the investigation carried out by the journalists only confirmed the conclusions that had already been made earlier and did not give a reason for the introduction of additional sanctions against Russia.
We regard the fact that now it has been supported in a journalistic way as confirmation. However, on this basis, there will be no new consequences, RIA Novosti quotes Maas.
NEWS.ru reported earlier that Germany called on Russia to clarify circumstances of Navalny’s poisoning.
