The Hungarian authorities continue negotiations with Moscow and Beijing on the possible purchase of vaccines against coronavirus infection.

Unfortunately, the EU purchases vaccines very slowly. Hence, Hungary continues negotiations with Israel, Russia, and China, because if we wait, you will remain unprotected, TASS quotes Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

He noted that Hungary received only 80,000 doses of vaccine have been transferred to Hungary within the EU procurement, but this is not enough. To date, 42,500 medical workers have received vaccination against COVID in Hungary.

Orban added that the country would extend the quarantine measures until February 1.

The curfew and distance learning in universities are still in place, he said.
