Thousands of people were gathered in the Swiss capital Bern over the Weekend to decry introducing the COVID-19 certificates.

The certificate shows whether the person is vaccinated or not as well as the information about recent PCR tests. Without the certificates, a person can’t attend public places such as restaurants, supermarkets, and different events.

The current protests are approved by the authorities and held peacefully.

The media shares footage of a march of Trychlers — people in traditional clothes who called themselves as a peaceful group protecting traditional values against modern political agendas.

In November, Switzerland will conduct a Coronavirus referendum where the citizens will have to vote for or against the certificates. In Summer the public surveys showed that 60% of Swiss supported the COVID-19 restriction measures.

The residents of the Swiss city of Bern have already come out to the streets to protest against strict anti-coronavirus measures.

On September 24 The police used water cannons, rubber bullets, and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Protestors in Bern also tried to attack police cordons behind the Federal Palace as seven people were detained.
